Our experts acquire rough diamonds from Russia, Belgium, Africa, Brazil and Israel, and our cutting operations are located in Israel and New York. Our specialties include: certificate and non-certificate diamonds between 1 and 100 carats as well as certificate natural fancy colors between 1 and 100 carats.

Diamonds are traded globally, with each market demanding different qualities and characteristics. Demands are constantly changing, but certain qualities, shapes, and sizes of stones are continuously sought after for investment value and marketability.

Fancy Color Diamonds

Fancy Color Diamonds are unique treasures. Their pure saturation of unique color make them highly sought after; the kaleidoscope of natural elements blended during formation create rare pieces of art in nature.

The most important aspect of fancy color diamonds is their saturation and hue of color. Each combination of color is unique, which contributes to the diamond’s marketability and desirability. Pure fancy color diamonds – especially those that are blue, pink, red, green, orange, or purple – are very rare and are treasured among collectors and connoisseurs. The price of a fancy colored diamond can be more than ten times greater than its equivalent in a white diamond.

The key to buying diamonds is to consider the four C’s – cut, color, clarity & carat.

FOUR C’s OF DIAMONDS

  • Carat Weight

    Diamonds are sold by weight. One carat is equal to 0.20 grams. Only 1 in 1,000 diamonds weighs more than one carat. A larger diamond is not always more expensive; the difference in color and clarity can make a small diamond higher in value than a large one

  • Clarity

    To grade a diamond’s clarity, you must evaluate the number, size, relief, nature and position of the inclusions in the stone. Clarity is seen by looking at the diamond under 10x magnifications. A diamond’s clarity is relative to amount of inclusions and blemishes it has. The clearer a diamond is, the more it’s value increases.

  • Color

    In order to measure a diamond’s color, a scale of D to Z is used. This scale measures the amount of color the diamond reflects – from “colorless” (D) to “light” (Z). The diamond is compared to master stones under controlled viewing conditions. The more colorless a diamond is, the rarer it is and the higher it’s per-carat price will be. Completely colorless diamonds are rare.

  • Cut

    The cut of a diamond affects its brilliance and how it interacts with light. Great vision, precision and craftsmanship are necessary in order to maximize the return of light in a diamond. The proportions, symmetry, and polish also contribute to how bright a diamond will shine. The higher the cut grade, the brighter the diamond.
